Corned Tuna Giniling

Finally, I food recipe post!

Since I have been following Jenny Epperson's blog and reading her posts about how she use Century Tuna for her Meatless Fridays category, I have been hoping I can follow one of her recipes. Unfortunately, I have not done so still.. I, instead made my own! =) feelers! and I am not a Century Tuna fun nowadays. Pura na eh. San Marino Corned Tuna na po kami ngayon...

Anyways, here is my own version of Meatless Giniling - tadannn.. The Corned Tuna Giniling!

You'll need:

San Marino Corned Tuna (the non Spicy one)

Tip: Use less oil during the saute since the Corned Tuna itself has oil.

From L-R: Basil, Onion, Garlic, Potato and Carrots

You'll Do:

Step 1: Sauté garlic and onion, after a minute, add the diced veggies.

Step 2: Let the veggies cook, 3-5 minutes is enough to cook them.

Step 3: Add the San Marino Corned Tuna. 

Step 4: Add the Basil and Salt and Pepper to taste.

Belt Magic

I am a firm believer of the saying "A nice belt can do wonders to a simple outfit." (Haven't heard of this saying?, well, yeah, its a self-coined saying. hahahaha).


Even before the wide waist belts were reincarnated, I have been a belt-believer. And when this trend came back, it fired my "faith" even more. I think, kahit ako'y matanda na, belts would still be part of my outfitey.


With belts, you can be creative... but careful of course, you may go wrong too.


So, here are some of the favs and my would-never-do ways to use belt:

Amazing MP

I am not a MP fanatic. I get curious when I hear his name in TV news, followed his disconnected Twitter account before, watched his games, is in great awe with his achievements, but thats it! I am not like some of my friends that reads forums about him or like my husband who literally follows MP's life story. =)


But when I learn about his new commercial for Palm/HP, i cant help it. I have to view it and repost it! I want my own documentation of this achievement of our champ.

I am not a fan of JLo..well not until recently. Recently, meaning until I became a Mom and she became a Mom too. She is just simply one hot momma. And as a momma myself, she is my idol!

Love her in American Idol! Love the hot outfits..love the hairstyles and color. Specially love her "motherly" approach as an Idol Judge.

Love her on her ad campaign for Gucci with her twins. Bongga ang posing, carry kahit twins ang karga. Love the hair again!

Yummy Treats: Balamban Liempo

*Let me just say, nakakagutom siyang tingnan!

You might be wondering, what this unhealthy, fatty food doing in this healthy-food-promoting blog? Well, lets just say..this is indulgence! =) Yeah, it is fatty. Oily. Salty. Unhealthy. But its also well-seasoned. Uniquely marinated. Yummy!!! I suppose eating this once in awhile and in moderation won't hurt. =)

Balamban Liempo is the next 'it' thing to Lechon in Cebu and its the tagged as the New Favorite thing in Cebu today. Its proudly a Cebu made -Balamban to be specific and surely this would be famous on other islands of the Philippines soon.

If Lechon is yummy, wait till you taste this Liempo. What makes it unique from other Liempo is that the marinade and local herbs (yes, herbs!) are inserted somewhere in between the meat and skin of the pork and its grilled to perfection (hahahah)! They're tagline nga is "Tastier than Lechon!" Bonga!
